Visiting Disney World in a weekend sounds like a dream challenge, but with the right planning, you can absolutely experience the best the parks have to offer! Some of my favorite trips have been quick weekend trips! Whether you have two full days or a quick getaway, prioritizing your must-do attractions, using Lightning Lane (read more here) effectively, and staying on Disney property (if possible) will maximize your magical time.
Day 1: Magic Kingdom & EPCOT – Classic Disney & International Flavors
Morning: Rope Drop at Magic Kingdom
Start your day bright and early! If you’re staying at a Disney Resort, take advantage of Early Entry to access the park 30 minutes before the official opening. Head straight to the biggest attractions:
- Tron Lightcycle Run (Individual Lightning Lane)
- Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
- Space Mountain
Grab and stack Lightning Lanes for later in the morning to keep the momentum going!
Midday: Lunch & Classic Attractions
Recharge with a quick meal at Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn using Mobile Order to skip the lines. Mobile order will be your best friend when you need to save time!
Then, dive into Disney’s most beloved classics:
- Pirates of the Caribbean
- Haunted Mansion
- Jungle Cruise
- Big Thunder Mountain Railroad

Make sure to take the time to stop for some pictures in front of the castle if you can!
Afternoon: Park Hop to EPCOT
Hop aboard the monorail for an easy transition to EPCOT. When you get there, prioritize:
- Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind (Individual Lightning Lane)
- Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure
After the thrills, stroll through the World Showcase! Don’t miss these amazing eats and drinks:
- Frozen Margarita in Mexico – one of my favorites
- Kaki Gori in Japan
- Funnel Cake in America
Evening: EPCOT Nighttime Spectacular & Dinner
Treat yourself to a delicious dinner:
- San Angel Inn (Mexico)
- Le Cellier (Canada) – best steak I’ve ever eaten
- Space 220 (Out-of-this-world experience!)
End the night watching Luminous: The Symphony of Us, EPCOT’s dazzling fireworks show.
Day 2: Hollywood Studios & Animal Kingdom – Thrills & Adventure
Morning: Hollywood Studios for Star Wars & Coasters
Rope drop is critical! Either head to Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance (or purchase an Individual Lightning Lane) or hit the thrill rides:
- Slinky Dog Dash
- Tower of Terror
- Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster
Fuel up with a Mobile Order breakfast from Woody’s Lunch Box.
Midday: Quick Lunch & Must-Do Attractions
For a fast lunch, grab something at:
- Docking Bay 7 (Galaxy’s Edge)
- Ronto Roasters
Afterward, catch these top experiences:
- Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular
- Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway
Afternoon: Park Hop to Animal Kingdom
Hop over to Animal Kingdom for afternoon adventure! Focus on:
- Avatar: Flight of Passage (Individual Lightning Lane highly recommended)
- Expedition Everest
- Kilimanjaro Safaris
- Festival of the Lion King
Evening: Wind Down with Pandora & Dinner
End your journey with a memorable dinner at:
- Tiffins (fine dining)
- Satu’li Canteen (casual but delicious)
Before leaving, take a serene nighttime walk through the glowing world of Pandora! It’s an experience you’ll never forget.
